Call for Presenters
If you have an interesting program idea, you are invited to submit an application for one of our breakout sessions. By submitting a program, you will help shape the 2016 Patient Navigator Conference. Complete the online application form and submit it by Friday, December 18, 2015 by 5:00 PM.
The Evaluation Process
Members of the Conference Planning Committee evaluate all proposed session programs based on the following criteria: overall quality, relevance to the field, well-defined focus within the program track structure, diversity of program content, practical applications of material, timeliness of the topic and speaker qualifications.
To be considered as a speaker, your program must be educational in nature. In addition, your material should be original; otherwise, sources must be referenced. For multiple speakers, each speaker must agree to this submission. Incomplete program submissions will not be considered.
The final program selections and notifications will be made in early January. Notifications will be sent to all applicants at that time.
Your program should address an aspect of Patient Navigation or Community Health Workers. Programs should be one hour, including a brief session for question and answer. We will seek continuing education unit (CEU) accreditation for all programs once they are selected. Programs should not consist of more than two speakers. Particular attention will be paid to submissions in the following fields:refugee health, maternal and child health, integration of community health workers into health care teams, workforce development, and genomics. We are particularly interested in presentations that include real world stories and examples.
All presenters will be given complimentary registration to the full conference, including admission to all sessions. A small honorarium may be awarded to conference presenters.
If travel is necessary, the Department of Public Health (DPH) may provide one night’s hotel accommodations for one of the selected presenters.
